Then again, i've just found this at the bottom of the page.

"Please note: All sales within the EU will be liable to VAT. Sales to Non EU destinations are not liable for VAT"

Them prices do appear quite good in this case

these are 12% discount from J-Spec, and considering this includes all Pod's , Ultra-Lite, Phantom & 65mm Gauges, I think its a very good deal

It isnt quite as straight forward as say Knocklinks, as that is one item, there is such a varied amount here, so I think hats off for the deal

Sounds good to me .

Did J-spec give any indication of time scales involved.... i imagine they don't have all this stuff in stock (e.g 5+ oil pressure gauges)???

Ok Time scales & availability

The supplier currently has about a dozen of each oil & boost gauges, and J-Spec can get them on next day delivery, or if you are in a real rush, then for an additional charge, Pete (J-Spec) can have them shipped direct from the supplier to yourselves

But Pete, once he recieves them, can have them on next day delivery to yourselves

Hi Greg

The Gauges are in 52mm, or a larger 65mm version, although the 52mm seem to be the most popular

The Phantom Range are White Face with a Black Bezel
The Ultra Range are Silver Face with a Silver Bezel

Some examples are here

Pods

Black or grey A-Pillar

Hi Marc

As far as I am aware (and based on the current Ultra Lite Boost Gauge I have, they bulbs come with a red & green rubber condom type thing, that fits over the bulb, so you have a choice

Not sure how red looks, but green matches the cars existing gauges

As far as wiring goes, I fitted the boost myself (dead easy) havent done the others yet, but as the Oil Gauges are electrical, its a matter of fitting a sender & and running the wires the gauges

Also I believe that all the gauges come with the necessary senders (info taken from Autometer's Site)

if you go to http://www.chiark.com there is some very good info on fitting Autometer Gauges, and I have seen the car personally courtesy of its new owner (Chrome)

With regards to payment & ordering, we are all to contact Pete @ J-Spec, and payment to be made to J-spec

I will put up details tomorrow on ordering, and arranging the order that we order, stock is plenty (unless there is a mad rush )

Stick me down for provisional as well mate for:

- Oil Pressure (Elec)
- Oil Temp (Elec)
- Boost

Prices seem cool.

I didnt check - does the boost read in psi and whats its maximium?

Also, for the defi's they come with a stand that you can put the gauges on and goes on the dash - like Discos car. Can Peter at J Spec supply these as i know he sells defi to??

THis is the link for Discos car to see what i mean

I will ask Pete if he can supply the stand pods for the gauges, I know the ones you mean tho, and they do look good, as you can angle them towards you for a better view

Cheers for the reply Steve, put me down as a definite, ultra light 52mm, boost, oil pressure (e) and oil temp (e). Thanks for organising the group buy, these group buy things are starting to cost me lots of money (don't like to miss out on a bargain). Lots of toys too though, should have some morettes soon. . My dash is blue so hopefully I'll be able to source some blue "condoms" for the bulbs.

Cheers

No probs Marc

How did you do your Dash Blue, and what MY is your car ?

As these are standard glass bulbs in the gauges, you could buy some 'blue glass' spray paint and spray them, this should work quite well, and is only about a fiver

Hi folks! Well its coming to make yer mind up time on which gauges! I was stuck so i had a play in photoshop to get an idea of what to go for. Thought id put them up here for you lot too!

They are all in the J Spec pod and are only one type of gauge (couldnt be arsed to resize 3!)

Phantom 52mm

Ultra 52mm

Ultra 60mm (approx)

Think im going to go for the Ultra Lite 52mm now!

Hope you find this useful.

Thumbs up

I like the look of this . What about exhaust gas temperature?

Also, do all these gauges include the sensors too? Are the pods really black (as stated on J-Spec's website, www.j-spec.co.uk or are they the usual interior grey colour (better)?

What about shipping to Germany?

Thanks mate, looking great

Cheers
Richard

Spray sounds a good idea Steve. The dash is el from Nomad, car is uk MY97. Has lots of colour options and fits without removal of needles. I still need a pod for the centre which Dyney has designed as no cubby thing on my car.

Im seeing if Pete can supply the Defi Pod Stand which sits on your Dash, which will fit on any car

As far as EGT Gauge goes, this is no problem too, dont have the price to hand, but it will be 12% less than retail from J-Spec

With regards to the Blue Bulbs, the Autometer Gauges will accomodate the Blue Leds that BoxerFlat4 (Paul) from Gecko Motorsport Supplies, for a good price too

http://www.thegecko.biz is his website

edited to add roughly 4 quid a bulb

Steve
