...in the bank balance!!!
My 98 Terzo has been diagnosed with piston slap! Yuk.
Reckons its gonna cost around £1500..... Ouch!
I seem to remember a thread on here before when someone else had the same thing. I also seem to think I've been told its not an uncommon thing with Impreza's. Anyone else suffered too?
Gonna get it done pretty soon, guess it means my paint job will have to wait for a while.
Ho hum

Hi N&J , sorry i've not been in touch lately, mucho busy, mine had piston slap that was sorted before i got it, it's a known problem on 98's ,they will undoubtedly replace the engine as a complete unit (except turbo, heads etc) as mine was, don't take it to Lin**ln though as they had one in there that had had a new engine in it that they fitted and it blew after only a few thousand miles which doesn't sound 'promising' for their craftmanship(sorry guys) see you soon
