Thumbs up

Got this stuff from TSL the other week and put it in last Friday (never used any octaine boosters before) with SUL.

OH MY GOD!!!

The acceleration is frightening!

The best power upgrade you can get for 9 quid

Shame it only lasts a couple of hundred miles

It raises the octane up to 102 (if you put in SUL to dilute it ). So it's like SUPER-Optimax. Gets rid of all the crap in the engine and puts a huge on your face!

So guys whats the best Octane Booster or what does the best to raise the RON value of Optimax to 100 or above.

Should i use Pro - Boost or NF?

I'm using STP currently and am not convinced

run my 95 wrx on 97 octane (best we can get in N ireland) and NF black bottle. 100ml per tank, so i get 600 miles out of a bottle. it costs 13 odd quid but much cheaper than a rebulid IMO.

cheers

big sinky

Pro Boost raises NUL by 2 RON

So will take optimax to just under 100 if it was @ the low end of 98.

How is this product different from Proboost?

Is it safe for catalysts?

£13 does approx 6 tank fulls- so it's cheaper for a start - and it's the only OB I have used that keeps my knocklink really quiet, plus all the other usual effects..

Wow! That's much better value for money!

Who makes this stuff though? Is this a company I can trust my engine with???

You can trust your engine with it but it is agood question about the cats - not sure on that as mine is decatted - e mail Dingy on here, he is the distributor for this stuff. It comes from Australia, the home of many big power scoobies, and I've certainly never heard of a problem with it.

It's what i do and I'm happy with it, and have been for about 18K miles now. If I run ordinary SUL and NF, I have to double the amount of NF to stop the knocklink having a disco.
