Hi

I need a couple of Automete Phantom Gauges, and am looking into the possibility of a group buy similar to the Knock Link Group Buy

I currently want

Phantom AFR Gauge
Phantom Oil Pressure (Electrical)

These are 52mm, black bezel with white face, and red needle

Tone Loc & dnb have expressed interest in

Phantom Oil Pressure (Electrical)
Phantom Oil Temp (Electrical)

And judging by the speed that the AFR's got sold on SN, im sure one or two more of you may be interested in this

Im trying to gauge interest, so if you want any Autometer Phantom Gauges sign up here, and it may just be a go-er

Could this group buy stretch to other Autometer gauges such as the Ultre-Lite range? Pods? fitting? etc....

heh not too sure about fitting, as I am going to fit mine myself

If there is enough interest, then I can look into the pods too

Fitting maybe more difficult, due to the geography of everyone

Im currently looking for a center pod with oil temp, oil pressure and boost. The Phantom gauges look quite good. Where would these be purchased from? A link to website if possible please.

Hi

Im looking at 3 companies at the moment, so I dont have any prices or availability yet

I will get some more on Tuesday, as its Bank Holiday weekend, it may take a little longer to get all the information

But you can take a look at the gauges on http://www.autometer.com its the Phantom Gauges in 52mm with Black Bezel & White Faces

Scoobymania also have these, with pictures, JW Racing, and J SPec also have them, but unsure on pictures

Thumbs up

Steve, make sure you try 'real steel' as a supplier too.
I organised a group buy for some pulsar owners and they had a very good stock.

Reel Steel are the sole distributers (or where, unless trade only) for Autometer Gauges in the UK

And last I heard, they were actually dearer than JW Racing, Scoobymania etc, but its worth bearing in mind, although it does look like a few people want pods too

Availability will be key, as it seems most people want the oil gauges

Rob, did you get my email about the Eibachs ?

Cheers

1) Sonic
- AFR Gauge
- Oil Pressure (Elec)

2) Tone Loc
- Oil Pressure (Elec)
- Oil Temp (Elec)

3) dnb
- Oil Pressure (Elec)
- Oil Temp (Elec)

4) Trick
- Oil Pressure (Elec)
- Oil Temp (Elec)
- Boost

5) Omen
- Oil Pressure (Elec)
- Oil Temp (Elec)
- Boost

6) Turbo Steve (Black Face only)
- Oil Temp
- Oil Pressure

To give some rough indication on retail prices here goes

Boost Gauge - 50.00
Oil Temp - 42.00
Oil Pressure - 57.00
AFR - 59.00
EGT - 115.00

These are approx retail prices including VAT, not too sure on pods as this is usually down to individual tastes (centre pod/A Pillar etc) but I will try and source some prices for these too

I think a triple centre pod is approx 100 quid inc VAT retail

I'll update more when I can confirm a supplier & prices

I'd like a boost gauage. Is there any/much difference between the Phantom and the Ultra-lite gauages?

Can anyone post a pic of these at night to see how the match the std Scooby dash lights?

Phantom Gauges are Black Bezel with White Face
Ultra Lite are Silver Bezel with Silver Face

They come with a green & red rubber condom type thing for the bulb, so you can have either red or green illumination

I dont have my oil temp installed in my car, so I cant take any pics at night until I fit it

Im sure someone else may be able to, for those who already have them

JW Racing do a triple centre pod retail 70 quid, which are ideal for the classics, im awaiting an answer on the newage triple pods

Not sure if I can stretch to 3 guages and a centre pod this month, but put me down for at least a boost guage.

Have you decided on a supplier yet? only reason I ask is I would want a A-pillar pod as well (same as the one on the Scoobymania website)

I havent decided on a supplier yet, as I am awaiting prices, and further details

Ive had response from two of the three, but it is bank holiday weekend

the main reason I guess will boil down to availability, and possible Pods included too

BTTT...

Regarding pods - Dyney has designed a centre pod for the pre 98 dash. I don't remember who's making and distributing it, but I'll find out...
