How fast have you..............

.......been in a car, either as a driver or a passenger?
Obviously I mean on a track as we're all responsible and careful drivers?
Me personally, my dad had a mate who had a 1977 twin supercharged Corvette Stingray ( in South Africa ). We clocked just over 270kph before he decided it was too risky to try any harder. I was the passenger.
Me as driver, just over 140mph in my scoob (on clock ) and 143mph
in a Ferrari F355 at Silverstone on Friday.
SKOOSH.

391 KM/h when I watched the video of the Mclaren F1 make its top speed run... Bloody hell that V12 BMW engine sounds awesome when it opens up at 240+ Km/h - Quote from vid - but anyway 391 is quite fast isnt it... I still say this is the best car ever built and will probably never be beaten, amazing piece of machinery.

155 as a pillion.... Bloody scary too!
Maxxed my Corrado VR6 a couple of times. Supposedly good for 146 - speedo read about 151 or 2.
Only an indicated 135 in the Scoob.
All on my own private motorway of course.

Indicated 150 on last Scoob. On the public road as I'm too poor to own my own private road!
Now here's an interesting debate: It has been often mentioned on here about us admitting to stupid speeds on the road but in this months EVO they have just such an article! They obviously have their true names published (as opposed to net names) along with fairly exact locations,so can someone explain the difference which makes us silly for admitting it in "public" and them in print?

151mph (indicated) from MY98 wagon with decat centre and PPP back box about 1 week ago in continental europe (the land where speed is allowed). Probably would have made 1 or 2 mph more, but the empty road gained traffic so I sensibly slowed down. Boy does 80mph feel slow after that.
