Subaru importing

I think (not sure, so don't hold me to it) Trade Sales get their cars from Cyprus (non eec import). So they are not true parallel imports and you don't get the same warranty as an eec import.
I would rather pay the extra for an eec import personally.
Cheers.
Ian.

I got my STi from Iain Litchfield.
Very happy with the service...and the car

The cars are exactly the same, the only difference being you *may* have to wait longer for the car. Iain often has them in stock though.

I'm onto my second scoob through them- 03 WRX in black due in 7 weeks. £16300 when I ordered and pre bought Euros but not sure of the rate now.
It'll be from Belgium and full UK spec with 3 years warranty.
If you speak to Ken McKenna say hello from me. They really are very good but the waiting list may be 6 months.
Good luck

Litchfield Imports got me my MY02 wagon last year.
Paid price I was quoted, got exactly what I wanted, parallel U.K. spec. and a few "bits".
Pleasant guys to deal with, enthusiasts etc. I would use them again (maybe when the new (mad) Legacy is out in a year or two).
Best thing is to call them and talk to them yourself.
Cheers

I'd say it's barely worth getting an EU car at the moment. The Euro has really climbed against the pound. When I ordered mine the rate was 1.57, it's now down at 1.43. Wish I'd got the currency converted then, but I didn't. That's taken my 16,500 price to over 18K.
There's a few extras you have to pay for with an EU car. The main one is the alarm. Beware that if you want the key button to operate the alarm (like the UK cars) that's likely to be an extra £40 per key on top of what you're quoted for the alarm, which comes by default with a separate actuator fob, I'm told.
You also have to pay for the first service, which is free for UK cars.
Depending on who you order through, you may have to pay for number plates, currency transfer/conversion charges, and deal with the registration (which isn't too onerous) yourself.
I'd say if you can get any kind of discount off the UK price, you'd be better off in the long run going with that.
Your milage may vary.
