I got a clear fluid (seems like brake fluid) leaaking from th back drivers side bumper?
it wet on the bumper side of the the wheel arch but bone dry on the wheel side.
Inside the boot goin down into the bottom corner of the 1/4 panel its wet again.
The cars in at the garage for other engine repairs, and they have told me it looks like a pipe has been nicked when the tracker was fitted into the 1/4 panel. As far as i'm aware the brake pipes run under the car, so WHAT pipes would run thru the 1/4 panel????

Petrol filler pipe is in drivers rear quater..

brakes are under the car.. under boot floor at least iirc..

rear washer jet??

Is there not some sort of rain drain that is in that region ??? Maybe only if sunroof is fitted though . . . . . Just a thought.

Check your spacesaver wheel well.

Definately like a brake fluid, none in space saver, i have to remove boot liner to get to bottom of wing where its wet.
It has got a sun roof & A/C
It unusally also has rear wash wipe, & Rear electric ariel, but it definateley not from these. & arial is on passenger side.
The tracker is fitted in this 1/4 panel and i've been told they've pierced a pipe fitting it.
Someone mentioned that it could be related to the active suspension. Does a WRX have active suspension????
Unfortunately the cars still with the gargage for an engine rebuild But i'm really interested to find out what this is.

ok so no ones or even cares....

I'll investigate further as hopefully it should be back on the road this weekend....
