Just completed 335 miles on just under 10 gallons!!!!!!!!!!
I drove to the lakedistrict with the family at the weekend and had to stick to 80mph on the motorway and sensible slow driving on the A/B roads (apart from a 20mile trip by myself) to save my ********* from being chewed off, and was pleasantly surprised at getting nearly 30mpg. So as money is a bit tight at the moment and the fact i was getting a bit disheartened at never getting more than 22mpg, i decided to keep my speed on the motorways to and from work (80miles) to 80mph and not thrashing the car at all (all sub 4500rpm) and ended up with over 33mpg!! Very boring driving but no one can say that the scoob is uneconomically now (apart from the costs of servicing, tyres, mods etc )
