Le Mans 2003 - Scooby get together
#3
Yup I'll be going and can't wait.
Not sure what camp site we are inyet though as it is being booked by a friend, we will be in my Scooby though.
So where and when are we meeting for a beer then?

I am arriving @ Le Mans Wednesday lunchtime and departing Sunday evening.
As to when to meet up depends upon when everyone is arriving.
Would Friday evening be any good - if so I'll come up with a venue for a beer - probably somewhere a couple of miles from the circuit where we can get all the cars together.
Anyone interested please e-mail me stuart.butler@heritage.co.gg.
Regards
Stuart

Last year was FANTASTIC... Went for my Stag-Do.
Probably can't make it this year, but do plan to go again sometime soon.
Our group included a 22B, MY01 WRX, MY99, and a Toyota Rav 4! We got tickets with the Porsche Club GB. Camped in their section and enjoyed their catering tent.

I went last year for the first time as well which is why I am going again this year - anyone that hasn't been I cannot recommend strongly enough that you should go - the cars, atmosphere, socialising, etc - its all great.
Last year we had 7 cars going together and this year we have 9 - my Scooby (94 WRX hillclimb car), Porsche 911C2, Lotus Elise, Westfield Sport, RAM Cobra, Dax Rush, Honda S2000, etc.
The roads in France are great and brilliant for a good blast particularly when you have a group of you - of course always sticking to the speed limit!.

I went with Squizz above great time in the Green Park Late night antics around the roundabout
the best around there was a tie between
The 'Bently boys' in the camper Van
Noble M12
Two Birds in a Range Rover Passenger with ***** out of window.
The Naked bloke on a Push bike
and Ten of us 'Stag' night lads doing the Congo around it

Our plan is also to arrive on Wednesday and to go home Monday.
Personally I prefer not to drive even after a single beer so somewhere within a reasonable walking distance would be good if it can be managed - I know that is likely to make the beer more expensive (
Or I am up to arrange a BBQ for everyone where I am camping if everyone is up for that? (On the Friday night possibly)

Robin
