Just get a silver mettalic brush pen from halfords - and if your're feeling really thorough get a lacquer pen at the same time.

Alloys are porous all you really need to do is smooth the surface of a scratch before any dirt gets in it.

Obviously if the wheels are black or gold then don't get silver

If the wheels are very bad, You can them recoated. I think its around £40 per rim.
Had it done to a mi16 a few years back, And they came back like new.
