Im in a bit of a dilema

Regarding the scratch on my car (2 days old):
Should i just get it pulled out and touch up where its down to undercoat and t cut the rest. I know if i get the door resprayed (what bodyshops tell me to do) it will never match again.
What would you guys do?
Thanks
Simon

As your car is only 2 days old the colour fade from weather, sun and all are not so bad , so if u go to a good body shop they can match it 99,9 - 100 percent perfectly.
The problem is with older cars because the paint has aged and faded and then its not easy to find the exact same color.

From the picture it doesn't look *that* bad...but then I can't see it in the metal. If you hadn't said it was down to the undercoat I would have suggested you try Megiuars Scratch X or Swissol Paint Cleanser. Or is it really too deep for that? You might want to give those a go before resigning yourself to the repaint job. Hope you get it sorted with minimum pain to your wallet.

Hi Mate - try Monty's bodyshop down at Sheffield. They matched my MY02 WR blue mica perfectly when I had a slight ding. Can't tell at all - and I'm a pernickety bugger!!!

Thanks guys,
Ive had a go at cuting it back and its working (only down to undercoat in one small place) so that will only leave the slight dent.
ScoobyNutter, im lucky that the kid didnt sue my sister as she opened the door right in front of him, while she's picking him up and dusting him down, appologising etc, im just going , 'my door, look at my door!'
Simon
PS would rather spend £300 on a audio system + 6cd
