should I buy a brand new STI ?

I've got a 22B (305bhp STI4 type R ) and a MY03STIPPP.
Before PPP the new STI felt awful. After it does shift. However the gearing is longer than your Type R (mine is a 22BUK so in the middle) and the car won't feel as frantic.
I think both are great cars but both are different. The 22B is still more *fun* and I drive that at weekends

Just bought my first Scooby she is a brand spanker in WRC blue. I havent gone the PPP way I have a dealer fitted Trust exhaust and soon to be Trust induction kit. Keeping the rev's down for the first 1000 miles is a killer to be sure. She has around 300 BHP now I should think and feels quick as you like.
The biggest thing though is this. First day back to work with it today. Got it friday and I have parked in my normal parking space and everyone and I mean everyone who has walked past it has stopped to look. Even an old boy who has no interest in cars came to speak to me about it. Nuff said I think. Definately not subtle but damned nice all the same.
GO BUY ONE

yeah - I love my Type R - the gearing is great for B road madness, just I fancy buying a new one now. Yeah I appreciate it's going to be slower, a bit more refined etc.
I guess PPP is the way to go
