AFTER 3 WEEKS OF WAITING, AND DRIVING A HORRIBLE 1 LITRE MICRA AS A "COURTESY" CAR (TALK ABOUT KICKING ME WHEN I'M DOWN), I'M GETTING MY SCOOB BACK TONIGHT. IT'S BEEN IN FOR VIRTUALLY A FULL RESPRAY AFTER VANDALS POURED PAINT STRIPPER ON IT. I RECKON IT'S GONNA FEEL PRETTY QUICK AGAIN 'COS THE MICRA IS STARTING TO FEEL NIPPY!
IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD DO BEFORE I GIVE IT A THRASH SINCE ITS BEEN UNMOVED FOR THREE WEEKS?????
THE ANTICIPATION IS MAKING ME WORK EVEN LESS THAN NORMAL!!

I know how you feel....and I also now know why they give you a micra.
I went to pick my once immaculate, never been painted MY97 after a pug ran into the back of me on the motorway.......10 days later she was ready for collection (incidently it was the only time of ownership that it actually snowed and i'm driving a sledge of a micra!). I was so excited........but then i saw the repair they had done.
I nearly cried, it was terrible and the more i investigated the back end of my car the more the tears welled up. They give you a micra 'cos they know how desperate you will be to pick your car back up so you will simply sign the "I am totally happy with the repair" disclaimer and you know the rest of the story.....
That was back in January and my car has now been to another garage and is due for it's third return (BMW now) 'cos the repair still isn't satisfactory.
Make sure you check her out properly....put the excitement to one side until you are happy with the repair.

I'll pick up a fine tooth comb on the way there then. Seriously though, I know the guy who has repaired it and he's done work for me before. With any luck this will stand me in good stead. Plus they took 3 weeks over the job and I've been paying regular visits. I'll report back later, after about 200 miles!!

I'll probably have to take it easy for a bit! Its going to feel virginal again!
Gav, they have put barriers up at the carpark so Thursday nights are over! Gutted!!
Festival Park on Sunday night is supposed to be a good one though. I'll be going this Sunday if you fancy it.
