STi8 - anyone done a deal on PPP or wheels?
#1
With The not too distant arrival of my STi8, I'd be interested to know if anyone's done a deal:
1. To upgrade to 18" wheels by P/Xing the standard wheels with their dealer;
2. And got money off PPP either by negotiating or by selling back the standard backbox (for example) to the fitting dealer.
Please e-mail via my profile if you don't want to name names on the BBS

Got a set of OZ Prodrive 10 Spoke 18's with 225/40 r18 pzero neros for £1500 or there abouts from my dealer. Was part of the deal on the car. Was offered about 650 for the original 17's by the same dealer - decided to keep them.

I managed to get the FF7s and Neros for under £1300 (tyres bought separately), and negotiated a very healthy discount on the PPP (better than above)
It's simply a matter of having a bit of a barter. Some dealers can get better prices than others, so you might need to hunt around. I managed to save £700, and got £700 + shipping for the OEM wheels and tyres, so the bartering, and putting up with a couple of clowns trying to wreck my post in For Sale, paid for the wheels and tyres.
