I bought my first Subaru 4 years ago on Good Friday!!!
A lovely MY97 DGM UK 4 door - R98 WBK with only minor modifications! (exhaust, filter and wheels)
This was replaced about 14 months later with a MY99 UK 4 door in Royal silver, which recieved a little attention in the modification stakes!!!
I sold my MY99 15 months ago, due to a house purchase and being jobless at the time!!
A VW Golf GTI 8v bailed me out for a while, but I knew what I wanted.....
So this evening I picked this up.......
MY00 UK DBM 4 door!!
There are some modifications lined up, but I plan to take my time and enjoy the car, something I missed out on last time!
All manner of strange packages have been turning up at work and home, as well as meeting dodgy characters!! (Right Moe??? ) Various phone calls and emails have been made/sent, so we'll see what happens!! I guess I've been unbearable at work, but Simon (SPelham) and Damian (Damian666) have humoured me!! they've learnt to just nod and smile anytime I mention Subarus!!!
Anyway, all I can say is thanks Mike (taffyboyo). I understand you're gutted , but I sold up a while back to buy a property and now I'm back in a Scoob again!
Two minutes after leaving I get my first Scooby wave in nearly one and half years! Nice one!
There were also a gang of 8-12 year old boys who were very impressed with the car!!
I was driving home with a stupid grin on my face not disimilar to this: ..... although apparently I'm not that happy to see my girlfriend (according to her!!!)
Tarty Tango is back, although this time maybe a little more sensible and a little less tarty!! (Here's hoping anyway!!)
Thanks for reading my mindless 'novel-ette', but I still have a stupid grin on my face now!!!
Cheers
Andy

TBH Tim, I really don't want to go down that road again!
It *was* fun, but now it's dominated by people either talking a lot about future plans and upgrades or people chucking a shed load of money at their cars.
Tim you are one of the few exceptions!

The car already has:
ITG filter
Magnex centre
Magnex backbox
Today I installed:
MP3/CD Player & changer
BRD quickshift
There are some bits in the garage that need fitting, but there's no rush!!

Andy,
Very happy for you. You won't stand out quite so much at Surrey meets now though. Before, it was scoob, scoob, scoob, scoob, your golf,scoob,scoob... Now it's just scoob,scoob,.... etc.
I'll look forward to seeing it next Sunday.

Good on you Andy - the car looks lovely...
I sold my P1 at a similar time to you for exactly the same reason.
I'm now in a Porsche 911.. but there are days I still yearn for a Scooby again
Cheers,
Gastro

A de-tangoing session is planned. (Or in my case, would that be a tangoing session???? )
First meet today, West Sussex meet as good as ever, although being a relatively standard car, I blended in!!
First rolling road session at PE next Saturday, just to allow a benchmark figure and allow people to say they beat me!!
