Welcome back Andy! IIRC you were one of the first 'nice' people to welcome me at a PS RR day, I beleive you were talking to Harj and Stef at the time about 3 years ago.

Floyd,

That was the day after I picked up my second Scoob (silver MY99)!! I remember harrassing the dealer to get it ready for Friday night (they stayed until 7pm), so I could drive it down to Cheltenham the following day for it's first rolling road session!!

I've always been one of those friendly people! Harj and Stef, what are they doing now???

Cool

Andy,

I'm well pleased for you mate. Was at PE when your MY99 made 350 BHP plus, I took my MY00 hesitating bag of ****e!!! (that made 204 BHP) Since been replaced with an RB5 WRSport and have done a few mods. Seems like only yesterday, but was a few years ago.

Enjoy your new purchase mate

I can beat that Phil as my car made an amazing 201bhp!!!!!

It's got to be the lowest figure for any scoob in the country

But when I beat people, it really means that I am a driving god because its obviously not the power

Andy,
Good to see you are back in the land of scooby. Can't wait to hear what you're going to do. One hopes you shall try and beat the silver beasties achievements, though on a less tartastic scale.

The goal this time is not an in your face car!

I want to achieve something descrete and subtle!! With good driveability and reliable power!

Although it may not make the figures that the silver did, it should be fast in the real world!!

When I drove the silver one off the forecourt, it already had:

Colour coding
Prodrive wing
Prodrive geometery
Scoobysport downpipe
Scoobysport backbox
Magnex resonated centre
Rampod air inductor
Prodrive quickshift

Working through the night for the following day (Powerstation rolling road day!!!)

Clear indicators (front & side)
Kenwood MD player
Kenwood CD Changer
Amps and sub!!!

This time, I've done the indicators, quickshift and stereo, that's it!!

The pace is slowing down!!

Andy

Good to see you are back in a Scoob. I remember you giving me advice when I was on here as Peter L. Always wanted anthracite wheels on my silver MY99 after seeing yours, never got round to it. This time I made sure I didn't drive off the forecourt without them in my STi8.

Didn't get a chance to catch up at the last Surrey meet - maybe the May one?

Cheers
Peter

I guess I did spend far too much money on my previous car and I tried lots of different ideas and options on it! (as well as sell on what I didn't like!)

I guess this time I know what I want, so it makes life a lot easier!

I know the full specification of the car, once I finish it!! I might get distracted on the way, but this time I know!!

I think Alex is partly right, as I get older, I realise that I have a roof to keep over my head, so the spending has to slow down, especially as the desposible stuff as reduced!!

Peter, no worries we will catch up in May, and I can try not to be tempted with an STI8!! Looks very nice from the photos!!

Andy, I know Bob rather well and maybe it was him that invented the saying, but seeing as he'd sold the car by then and had the H6 Outback, I assumed the saying for my car

It was that day when me and Floyd had the amazing RR figures that Inspired Floyd to suggest to me that a MY99 ecu might resolve the issue. I got hold of one and the rest is history. *** Note to one self "why didn't we patent the idea" doh!! ***

Anyway, happy tarting

Phill

Andy, you will be tempted...I know you will...all we have to do is re-introduce you to the fold and you will be as power crazed as ever

Oh, and I'm not one of the few any more, I'm always yabering away at messers Aigin, Herborn, Messalum, McKenzie, Blamire et al about where I should go next

Still, I haven't speant over 5k yet on all my mods to date

Anyway I thought Bob Iles had the trademark on the phrase: "hesitating bag of ****e(tm)"
