I have a MY00 with an increasingly annoying creaking drivers seat. Happens most when cornering.

Is it just my weight?!!! Can anyone recommend where I should be squirting wd40?

I've got an MY98 with the same problem.Tried WD40'ing it.Even the dealer has had a go, to no avail.

It sounds like there's something broken (seat mounting or similar), but no sign of any trouble.

Sorry I can't help, but at least you know know you're not on your own!!

I have this intermittently on my 02 WRX wagon in the US. It comes from the seatbelt release ( doesn't creak with the belt undone -not recomended though). First check tightness of the bolt that holds it to the bottom of the seat and then spray inside the 'slot'(next to the red release button) lightly with silicon lubricant -works for me, for about 3 months then I need to do it again, which reminds me...

hope that helps

Alun
