Lets put it this way .... you go in a MY99 , MY02 , MY03 (all standard) ... wow thats a good drive... fast as fluck...

Now... go in the same cars , each with a PPP ....wwwowoooooowwwww thats a flucking good drive... AARRRGGHHHH ..........!!!!!!!

Thats why people upgrade and want more power

My car was fine as it was. It's now much better than fine

If you want to know why people upgrade, jump in a standard MY01/MY02, then get in one with 280bhp+. The difference in drivability as well as outright poke will explain it. Then there is the noise . . . .

my new (to me anyway) MY01 feels slow after my MY96 wich had an ECU upgrade to about 260-280 bhp, and also (I find out now) had the "bump steer" mod or similar, so it handled exceptionally well...

My 01 is totally standard, and while its much nicer to drive, much smoother, much better overall... its SLOWER and HANDLES WORSE. Therefore I HAVE to make it go faster and handle better.

Its simple logic

are you a wind up merchant?

seen a few posts from you and they are mostly slagging stuff off

I understand you'd think you're car is fine but do you seriously believe there is no room for improvement? (honest question)

But from what I can make out you're allways stirring, your username 5 inch pipe suggests this too because you dissagree with modifications yet you use this name meaning it's some sort of p*ss take out of people with 5 inch pipes??

either that or you smoke a lot (all at once)

or you like soil pipes (isn't that 5")

How can it be a waste to modify a standard car? I have spent many hours modifying my 01 and people on here that have driven it will tell you that it’s in the top league of 01's.

Looks wise alone the UK300 headlights and sports front grille transform the car.

LOL not too bad scoobysport BB and TSL centre, the neighbours are pretty cool. I always drive around my estate slowly and the all the neighbours wave so I guess they are cool with it. I calculated how much I spent on the car in two years and laughed my socks off. Think I need an F1 sponsor to run it next year .
