Matt,
I know with the Piggyback ECU's, the PSI 3 SECS Monitor was unablbe to read the correct Boost pressure due to the way the Piggyback works. i'm sure it shows up odd on Delta dash also.
Does the Prodrive reprogrammed ECU using Ecutek show the correct boost pressure on a PS3? MY03STiUK PPPer have PSI3 boost pressure read O/K?

Anyone know if there is still a big hold up on this for the 02 ? I went and spent the savings for this on a sofa, so stopped torturing myself reading threads about it, like how fantastic it is, but I may find myself in a position to get it in a couple of weeks.

for the STi8 it still seems to be 6-8 weeks according to dealers, but Prodrive say that it is speeding up. So your guess is as good as mine. I say order it now, you only pay when it is fitted, get a new credit card with interest free for the first 6 months and pay it off over that period. If you can't then after the 6 months transfer it to another deal which offeres interest free introductory periods.

Andy, there is a much longer delay on the 02 PPP compared to the 03. Be prepared for at least a 12 week wait. One problem seems to be the supply of downpipes.
Had mine fitted two weeks back, including the new fuel pump, and it is very impressive. My car was done at 28,000 miles (one years worth for me) and the darn thing is back to the garage next week for the 30K service!
For someone like me who does a lot of miles I am really noticing a tendency for the blue beast to now drink petrol with a passion. I reckon it has increased by 10% since the PPP was fitted. Still, it is much better off the line and I don't have to change down as often, never mind the general improvements in acceleration.

I ordered mine just under 3 weeks ago and it has arrived and is being fitted on Monday.

Dont worry about the PPP,,go ECUTEK..
I gave up waiting,,but then WOW more power than PPP...
Okay yes loose the warranty,,but hey lost around £6,000 in 11 months anyway due to the STI8,,why put more money in their pockets.

Mine took 5 weeks but I ordered it before they were really geared up to supply them, I had it installed last Thursday. I know its cliche to say it but...it really does transform the car. It would be hard to justify an UK STI without PPP IMO.

If anything should happen then put it back to normal before they get it..(
Especially given the contributors to this thread.

Andy, two options to cut the wait time.
1) Get your dealer to send your ECU away but means you will be without car for 3 days
2) Get Prodrive to do it while you wait providing they are still doing this

Pity a few days off work and a trip to Banbury from NI would be a bit of a problem. From the look of Mike's post the wait shouldn't be too long anyway.

Picking mine up today ! - can't wait.
At the same time I've had a boost & oil pressure gauge fitted.

After reading several posts on here I wouldn't use any other mods than those approved by Subaru / Prodrive its just not worth the hassle. (BTW Ford owner now lol)

Thinking of getting this done to my STi7. I remember reading that they would only fit to non-modified cars, but I have a scoobysport backbox and a set of defi gauges. Anyone know whether these would be enough to stop them fitting it?
Thanks,
Iain

Mike,
Just to clarify, you mean the 02 PPP has been the full remap for some time? If so, I must have missed that one!
You can but the dealers can't....
Ta,
Matt
02 STi has been this spec for some time now

Iain, the guages won't effect it at all, and since it;s a dealer fit option I'm sure they'll just swap the backbox for the PPP one so no problems there either. (To be honest you can probably get them to leave the Scoobysport on if you like the noise)

Hi guys,
Picked up my 7 today.
Lots of traffic on the way home so I couldn't give it some booty, but first impressions are that it certainly has a lot more grunt and doesn't seem to run out of puff through the rev range.
It sounds GREAT. A great rumble from the rear and a whistle of the turbo from the front.
Now then, a question for Mike (Prodrive). Should I have had my old parts given to me by my dealer, as when I got home and I popped open the boot expecting to find them, there was nothing.
Do I actually need the old bits ? Are they worth anything. Should they have given them to me ?

Hi all,
My '7' is one year old this week.
For it's birthday it is gatting a PPP. Ordered two weeks ago - will be fitted Tuesday - cannot wait!
Question for all you PPPers - how much louder is the PPP exhaust? I feel that the standard one is just too tame.
Look forward to your comments.

The removed parts are yours to keep if you want them but they have minimal value and you won't be needing them again. If you are anything like me they would just sit in the garage getting in the way!

I would presume that it is no longer a piggy back with boost clamp type arrangement that the correct boost is displayed.
I am having it fitted tomorrow and a long drive arranged for tomorrow evening!
