Jap exhausts on european cars?

Yeh I know, I should be keeping to euro kit like powerflow, mongoose, devil, janspeed etc... but I want a stronger, deeper note. Why? I've got a turbo diesel.
Does anyone think a jap muffler such as a Blitz, HKS or Tanabe would offer me a deeper richer sounding exhaust note over a european backbox?
