WOKE UP THIS MORNING TO FIND PAINT STRIPPER HAD BEEN POURED ALL OVER MY CAR. ITS KNACKERED ALL THE PAINT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. LOOKS LIKE ABOUT £1500 WORTH.
WHY WOULD ANYONE DO THIS. I CAN ONLY THINK JEALOUSY.
I REALLY COULD CRY!!!

I`LL PUT SOME PICTURES OF THE DAMAGE UP LATER. I REALLY AM GUTTED. DON`T REALLY KNOW WHAT I CAN DO WHEN IT`S FIXED EITHER.......... WHAT IF THEY COME BACK. CAN`T PUT IT IN THE GARAGE `COS MY KIT CARS IN THERE AND IF I COVER IT UP, THEY COULD JUST LIFT THE COVER.
WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE THAT BODYSHOP IN HYDE IS IF THEY REALLY ARE GOOD. ITS GOT TO BE 110% OR YOU`LL BE ABLE TO TELL.

know how you feel m8 , had 2 of my previous cars vandalised outside my house ( none of em scoobies) and no one saw a thing etc. Thats one thing I cant stand is messing with someones car ****s

Sympathy.
Someone ran a key up the entire passenger side of my STi7 before Christmas. Cost £400.00 to fix.
It's no good blaming yourself or getting cut up - they don't give a stuff at the moment. Maybe when they get older and learn to respect the hard work and effort that goes into buying one of these cars then they may feel a little guilt.
At the end of the day you still have the nice car - they never will!
I suppose that there is no guarantee that they won't be back. You need to garage it to be certain.
As far as paintwork goes it shouldn't cost too much if it is a straight paint job - no panel beating.
Hope you get it sorted.

Sorry for the delay, i can tell you where the place is,it would give you the chance to go down there (dont have the phone number with me here) and you want to speak to Bill.
Its on Bank street (next to TLS) and it doesnt look much of a place but you cannot tell where they resprayed my bumper when some ungreatful git scrapped it [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

I have only owned my MY01 for 3 days and I have already cleared my garage out and have out it in there every night. The first time I've used it since I moved in 4 yars ago.

This pisses me off!!
This happened to my car about 3 or 4 months back so I know how you feel, mine was the only car in the street to get done and its only a 206 GTi! What excalty is going through a persons mind when they do this is beyond me.

Got the quote through today and booked it in. £1410 plus parts at list price (drivers door moulding and spoiler brake light). Add this to the 60000 mile service on Wednesday and i'm getting stung this week! PLUS they want the car for a week and a half and i'm getting a Micra courtesy car! Could things get any worse??? Yes they could because I might get it sorted only for it to happen again. One good thing today though, my mate lent me his P1 wheels to tart it up since the money i had for a set of 18's has to pay for some little sh*&s fun. One other thing, does anyone know where i can get a spoiler brake light for an sti5 spoiler!?!?

Are you sure noone's got a grudge against you? Paint stripper attacks are necessarily more premaeditated that a casual impulsive keying as you pass a car in the street.

This happened to my sisters Saxo VTS, brand new only done a few miles and some nutter that the company she worked for owed £500 to poured Nitromorse all over her car, every panel. Melted the lights, bumpers the lot.
Still makes me fume thinking about it, and he only lives a mile from me, but is the local looney builder. He lives in a nice £300k house as well. [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]
This is another reason why I have sold my decent car and bought a £200 205

Last month some ******* keyed the entire drivers side of my car!
This was on top of some ***** having crashed into the rear wheel arch the week before and tried to say it wasn't his fault!
Thankfully his insurance company are paying up but I will still have to pay cash for the key job.
Still though I suppose it puts things into context.
Paintstripper is serious and would put me off owning a decent car.
I would pack the *******s off to Iraq and drop them out of the plane over Baghdad! Scumbags.
