Dunno if this is true guys, my uncle who lives in Eastbourne phoned me to tell me that his local dealership was advertising the STI8 at £19,995 instead of £24,995, I have asked him to send me the newspaper to see if it is true apprantly the dealership involved says they have done it to bring the STI8 in the priceline of BMW's and the X type Jaguar, can anyone else throw some light on this??.

i seriously doubt they have knocked 5K off the price. That would mean the WRX is £15K. Don't think so.

Are you sure that it was a new one and not a second hand STi7?

As I say guys, until the paper arrives I'm not sure, but when I spoke to him yesterday he did say the new one, he's a car nut himself so hopefully he has got it right.

And which dealership? There are only two in these parts, and neither are that close to Eastbourne.

So it doesn't actually say that the STi8 is £19995, just that Impreza's are available from that price?

They will have used the picture of an STi to get punters through the door, only for them to find that it's the WRX for that price

It'll be the same dealer I ordered my STI (PPP'd) from on Saturday and I can assure you that the price is definitely NOT £19,995.

Was actually at a Subaru dealership on Sat. I've got a WRX on order @ £19,995. The STI is definately £24,995. cheeky advertising I think.

Look at any car ad, especially in local papers. I often get rather annoyed at our local Renault garage showing the 172 next to a price saying "6995". One day, I'll walk in with the cash and not move until I leave with the car (or, quite possibly, a police escort )

I think you'll find its an STi 7, maybe even an import. Autotrader had them listed last week. Here you go....
