STi "Prostyle"
#1
Hi,
Can anyone shed any light on the "Prostyle" package applied to an STi7. I've got an April 2002 STi in Blue/Black and the supplying dealer in Scotland informs me that this car is an STi Prostyle costing £27500 new (against £25995 for a "normal" STi). My car apparently has a bigger rear spoiler than normal and pink STi graphics ! along with gold anodised alloys. What else did this package consist of ?
Cheers, Meridian

If you mean STi7UK Prodrive version and STi7UK (STD) the differences are only cosmetic.
Prodrive version has different-:
Spoiler, Picnic table ( STD has a flat spoiler)
New bumper (Barge board type front fog lamp covers)
New 3 piece front grill (Std 1 piece)
Different side skirts
Has blue Speedo & Rec Counter dials
IIRC

Tony,
Thanks for that. My car is an STi Type UK but with the bigger spoiler, big fog light covers etc from a Prodrive car. As mentioned, the supplying dealer of the car from new (from whom I did not buy the car) informs me that that the car is technically a "Prostyle" which I assume means STi + all Prodrive cosmetic addenda but less engine mods. It's not something I'd heard of but I'm no expert in these matters. That said, the dealer is adamant that this was available as an "off the shelf package" at the increased cost of £1500 or so already discussed.

Its prodrive styled just cosmetic changed all listed here :

There is no engine differences between the STi and STI prodrive and both come with 265PS.
Of course it could have a PPP fitted and if they have there should be a PPP certificate. PPP costs an extra 2K on top of the 26K STI UK or 27.5K STi Prodrive making them 28K for sti uk and 29.5k for the sti prodrive.

chrisp,
That has comprehensively anwered my questions on spec ! I was assuming Prodrive cars had the PPP pack which is obviously not the case.
Anyway, thanks for the link. It's nice to know exactly what I've got.
Cheers, Damon
