Hi Peeps,

Just a quick one. How much was your 1k service and what materials did they use for the cost?

Thanks

Jules

Yeah, Castrol Maganatec Semi-synth. I'm not too uphappy about the oil as I like to put more miles on the car before going for ultra slippery fully synthetic 'good stuff'.

Just the cost of materials on the 1000 mile serivce. Some dealers ideas of the cost of materials are WAY different to others it seems

Uh-oh ...

On Euro import Mainland charged me

labour £49.50 (1 hour)
parts £16.64
oil £26.00
Environmental disposal £1.50

plus VAT £16.39

Grand total = £110.03

IS THIS A RECORD?

still saved a fortune over a UK car though

Speedking,

If you car is an import than it is correct they will charge you for the labour on the 1st service so that's in the ball park of what I've seen quoted from many dealers.

If it's a UK car then they ripped you off as they shouldn't charge labour.....
