I know this may sound like a stupid question, but some dealers are differentiating between the UK STi and UK STi Prodrive, and their adverts say "Prodrive finish". What the difference?

Targa,
If you mean STi7UK Prodrive version and STi7UK (STD) the differences are only cosmetic.

Prodrive version has different-:

Spoiler, Picnic table ( STD has a flat spoiler)
New bumper (Barge board type front fog lamp covers)
New 3 piece front grill (Std 1 piece)
Different side skirts
Has blue dials

IIRC

Perhaps they mean PPP (Prodrive Performance Pack)?

As John says must be the PPP kit. which would add about £2K to price. It increases BHP from 261 to 300 IIRC But adds far more smiles the only performance Mod that covered by 3 year warranty
As I am aware there is no Prodrive version/type as with the STi8 (but could be wrong). The dealer could put Prodrive 18" wheels and or Prodrive brake upgrade kit and call it "Prodrive finish"

Hope this helps,

Tony

On the Subaru price list it deos state that there is a prodrive option to put the price up to £24995. But i have yet to see an STi without the kit, and i really don't think it even exists. It confused my dealer a bit, he even tried to charge me for metalic paint, but it was the first Subaru the dealership had ever sold. Hunt and Keal in Kensington.

AIUI ALL STi8s are the same and, having the Prodrive Spoiler, may be said to be 'Prodrive Style'. The advice about STi7(UK)s above is correct. PPP (Prodrive Performance Pack) is a performance-only add-on to either 7 or 8 with no cosmetic effects other than an extra 3/4" on the tailpipe.
