Advice on mods after PPP fitted!
#1
Having PPP fitted to MY02 later this week.
Car is totally standard at moment.
What else can I do to modify the car to increase bhp. Don't want to loose the warranty though.
Would like if possible to get the power to a similar level to the STi.
Any advice would be great as i am not really up to speed on the technical front.
Thanks

Er, nothing if you want to keep the warranty.
Silly question, but why are you buying it if you already know it won't be good enough, are you thick?
You could always just chop it in for an STi7 but then you'd find out that that's not quick enough either, God you really are thick!

oh... I see!!
Test drove the STi again last week. Thats why i am getting the PPP.
Reluctant to pay another £10,000 to upgrade to anSti considering I have only had mine 8 months.
Times are hard for us poor estate agents:-)

As has been said, theres nothing further you can do and still keep the warranty.
Now once that's run out......
Firstly, although the PPP exhaust is OK, others are meant to be better (Scoobysport etc.), and you still have some standard bits of exhaust remaining after the PPP, so changing them would yield a little more BHP and engine response too. You'd always be able to sell the PPP parts on in the FS forum to recover some of your cost too. (Just bought a PPP back box myself from the very same place SN FS Forum).

brandy - warranty-wise you're tied to Prodrive / WR Sport bits and pieces. if you put PPP on you're then you're virtually limited to wheels / suspension / brakes / cosmetic mods . This is the stance you'll get from subaru uk (and no, I'm not a dealer )
As for upping the bhp, PPP will give you more of a torque increase and make the car more driveable AFAIK - how about a driver training course so you can handle it? no point having a 600bhp monster (slight exaggeration maybe ) and not being able to go round corners at more than 30mph without losing it...
there's only one michael schumacher (thankfully ) and it ain't us so we can all learn from a bit of skills training IMO
