Anyone with an aftermarket exhaust know whether it's normal to set off other car alarms when driving past ?

I daren't drive through the local sleepy village in the morning anymore as I set off 2 car alarms in a narrow street as I drove past at not much more than tickover last week to post some letters.

I had a full scoobysport on my old WRX, this used to set off alarms but only if I nailed it past.

Yep, mine does it all the time

People must have the sensitivity on the shock sensors turned up too much

my terzo's got a decat downpipe and Blitz nur spec backbox just in case you were wondering

Yup, it's well funny

drove into the multi-storey CP at work the other day and set three cars off just by idling past at walking pace

you get some nasty looks though, like you've pranged someone

Cool

Done it once in our underground garage, just started the car up and the alarm on a Merc about 50 metres away started

I managed to set off a alarm on a golf before with my saxo.
It only had an induction kit at the time
