just had my speedo (badly) converted from km/h to mph by dealer on friday. it worked fine for about 200 miles then just stopped working altogether. anyway, not a big problem as dealer is going to sort it out on monday (should have been done when i bought the car), however i am getting the 'check engine' light flashing quite a lot (4/5 times)! having checked through some old threads, i did a manual ECU check, expecting to see code 33 (vehicle speed sensor). i did get this code and also code 31 (throttle sensor)! flashes 33, 33, 31... 33, 33, 31....
is this to be expected while speedo is not reading or do i have another problem. i'm hoping that the dealer will sort the speedo on monday, reset the ECU and problem solved.......?
any advice in the meantime would be very much appreciated

 

its an my96 jap sti btw, coverted with a 180mph clock....
