What about a ford pop with BBC giving just short of 1,000 bhp.. quarter mile under 8 secs at 160 mph.. 0 - 60 feet time 1.35..
Not for the faint hearted...

As my friend drives the above POP, in the Custom Car Street Eliminator.. Now thats a real hot rod..!!!

i challenge anyone to deny that they did not relate in anyway - small or large to that programme?

i was hoping that they would focus slightly more on the inner psychology of what makes (some of) us enjoy the sensation of speed.

was not bad on the whole though - enjoyed the history of the hot rods.

Was a good history of fast cars until they started showing joyriders doing donuts as a example of excess speed... They were hardly moving! 5mph max...

Cool

I live 4 miles from where the films of the joyriding was taken, glad they've given it up now, i think that was taken in the early '90s do you think the insurance companies still 'weight' the area from activities back then ?

Must have missed that then - working in the garage or something

SB - I'm into the 5th (& final) year of building a '32 Ford B sedan, Chevy V8 etc - will be on the road this year (heard that before?)

HotRod - Sounds nice, love to see it once you have finished, so best of luck on the final stages..
I still have a model 'T' in bits since early 90's, one day I will get round to starting the project, but curently building my cobra with a big help from a friend Jeff Mead.. I'm only in the second year, so still a long long way to go..!!

OJ - stick with it, there can never be too many 'special interest' cars on the roads! You are well placed for rods, with Home Grown Hot Rods (Jon Golding) in your town - that's where I got my chassis
See you at an event this year
