Question

Will it be ok as a driver on the day to take my 7 year old son out for a couple of gentle laps?

If it is ok I will get him a suitable lid tommorrow.

Thanks.

Hmmm, tricky, RobMac would be the best guy to answer this, but, I would say as long as he is signed in, and has the crash hat, it shouldnt be a problem.

Talking

I took a friends kids around last year in my cossie. All that was needed then was for the parent to sign the indemnity for them. Never seen kids so excited in my life, they really loved it.

At the last one a was talking to Stef when a lad about 10-12 came up and asked if he would take him round. His dad was there with a cossie I think but he came over and said it was okay and told us his son preferred scoobies .

cheers

Hunty,
The only restriction on young passengers is that the seat belt must be able to restrain them properly in the event of an accident. ie. they must be tall enough. There shouldn't be a problem at 7yrs. old.

The only other problem I can see is that people under 16 are not generally allowed in the pit lane at all, although I have a feeling that as long as you are aware of what he is doing at all times then is will be OK. I will check with Donington in the morning though.

Andrew,
Briefing at 8.45 (ish ) Finishing whenever I can stretch it to. 4.30 minimum.

Rob

Thumbs up

Rob,

Thanks it should make his day. When he is not in the car my girlfriend will have him by her side so he won't get into danger.
