Looking at a car currently, that when HPI'd the make and model came up blank (not recorded) I am assured by the owner that its a belgian import and the HPI guy reckoned its make and model was not recorded because of it being a euro import.
Is this the case for anyone else???
Wanna treble check before I commit..
BTW, the VRM and the VIN matched..

I'd take all the details to a scooby garage as they will tell you when and where it was made.
If its a parallel import - be grateful the spec is probably better than the UK one.
Does the car and a service history book- if so, its not an import.
You can't (easily) get service books for import cars. UK dealers will service imports - however they are only covered by their import warranty (or any private warrenty you take out).
Don't be scared of a euro-import as it actually allows you more flexibility. Scooby garages sell crap brakes, crap oil etc - and if you have a UK car you have to take it or you invalidate your warranty- with a Euro important you can specify what you want put on the car.
Hope that helps.
