.... drive a Saxo 1.1 for a week....

Boy does the scooby feel fast now!!!!

Its so quick - took time to re-calibrate my brain

So anyone wanting a very cheap mod that costs very little... drive a slow car and then jump back in your Scooby.. the performance increase is awesome.

So all of you who think "im bored with the car i need it to go faster"... try this before spending the $$$$$

That's why I still have my old Micra

Well that & the fact that I don't take my pride & joy to Asda

I did this. My car before I bought the Turbo (MY00) was an old Corsa 1.4, which, although not slow by normal standards obviously gets it's butt kicked in pretty much every respect by the Scoob.

I carried on owning this and driving it for about 4.5 months while I had the Subaru, it sure does make sure you remember how much better it is. As long as you remember to recalibrate downwards when you drive the Corsa and don't expect to be able to brake or corner or pull out and overtake with the ease of the Impreza.

Plus saved me a tonne in fuel on my 1hr commute to work when I was doing that.

I couldnt believe

1) The speed
2) Cornering - no roll!
3) How heavy the clutch was
4) How heavy the steering was
5) No tyre wobble on corners

went from 93WRX to 106 diesel to 97WRX sti. interesting. I will never drive a **** car again, unless I have to.

p.s. the best mod to do if you want to make your car faster, is to buy a faster car.

How about a nova with ignition problems, 4 gears and wobbly wheels? Or a marine diesel engine? Makes my forester seem smooth and fast!

I love the time when I bring my car in for a service...
Then I get a very scary Justy as a replacement...
It has also 4x4, but lacks the rest....
