Take it easy guys, I'm only 23 and I own a 97 WRX. I had a choice between a Skyline R33 or a Scooby so I settled for the drivers choice. It's true as many younger people find themselves drawn towards the Scoobies as they are now referred to as the new choice from Cosworths, As soon as Insurance goes through the roof i'm sure that some will be deterred. When I applied for Insurance I was turned down as soon as I quoted my age, the Skyline would have cheaper to insure.

As the magazines give Scoobs more and more hype the younger aged market will be drawn even further, these days you see 19 year olds driving Escort Cosworths and Lotus Elise's. But I think it will be a while before the Scooby is known as a Boy Racers Car ie Fiesta RS Turbo's & R5 of which I have never owned. I have made the move from a new Lexus 400 to Scooby (Saving major money).
