New car on Saturday any tips?

Pick up my first new car next saturday and was looking for other peoples experiences of whats worth doing e.g. what running in, protectant on hoses and rubbers, etc, etc. Any help greatly appreciated.

dealer should tell most of it..but
1000 miles under 4k revs. 1000 miles service by dealer (I believe this is a warr req). Then take it easy for 500 miles or so, grad build it up after that.

Spot on BlueBlood.
It's very frustrating, but worth it. The cars come with a thinner 'running-in' oil, and you need to respect the limits until it's replaced at the first service.

Look on the bright side i'm havin 2 drive below 2500RPM but come the new clutch & say hello red line
I still aint seen a STi8 in the flesh dont suppose yer in the Cov area on Sunday r ya we got a scooby meet goin on so u can show off

My advice is as above, careful til first service then gradual build up. Then drive hard and fast. After all thats what you buy em for isn't it !

Oh yeah u mean the uglier version with the - not the _ doubt i can make next weeks meet as there's a rally thing im helping with besides he will only b showing off his gauges lol
