Question

HI there,
Quick question for all you guys in the Know. I have an MY01 Wrx, nothing done apart from lowered suspension, back box and a few cosmetics. I want to make it faster and faster and faster, in stages depending on my wallet. Can you tell me whats first? DO I get a turbo down pipe and cat replacement pipes, ie. all of the rest of the exhaust first? Will that make a big diff ?

Any help / advice much appreciated.

Thanks.

Pat

I worked my way from the back to the front. i.e backbox, decat centre, decat downpipe and then decat up pipe follwed by ECU remap. Seemed to work ok with no problems. This should give you in excess of 280bhp when you've finished.

A good place to start is by taking an advanced driving course - the advantage of which is that the benefit isn't confined to one particular car. Once you've done that, by all means start modifying the car - those nice people at EcuTek should be able to help out there.

Hi

If you check the posts under the General Technical and Drivetrain sections of the bulletin board you will see loads of pointers depending on how much you want to spend.

Cheers
