Mods please can you leave in here just for today so I can get a quick reply... thanks

Basically I want to upgrade my speakers. Can someone tell me what size speakers I need and also possibly recommend a good quality speaker.

Many thanks all.

Regards Mark

Sorry to butt in Mark, but let us know how you get on.

Although I've heard worse, I've got upgrade the STi's speakers in the hope that it improves things a bit.

ICE Section is best place to ask

6.6 inch will fit in the front doors with the right spacer.

Dont bother with the rears - waste of time IMHO as you cant hear the difference.

Ive got MB Quartz components.. make sure you dynamat the doors otherwise they'll rattle to death!!

Thanks for the help guys

Sounds like there's no direct replacement then - and Dynamat on the doors seems a must.

Anyone know how easy it is to remove the panels????????

See the ice section

The FAQ has instructions on how to remove the trims - see the installing section for speakers/MY01+

Quite a few things should drop straight in, but you're better off upping the size whilst you're doing it. Rears are, IIRC, 4" so not really worth bothering with.

The best colour for speakers is black

When's your car turning up, and what did you go for in the end?

Cheers,
Nick.
