Question

I`m after a WRX. My budget is 7500 to 8000 max. I`m not bothered about mods, don`t want to buy from a garage, inflated prices, private sale will do.Been looking in the For Sale section and prices vary by quite a distance.

What year motor should I get for my money??

Thanks in advance.

You will get a good one for that.
But keep money back for repairs - running costs.
It will cost you a fair old bit to keep on the road.

Ming,
ensure you can get insurance before looking for a WRX JDM car, then check out the running costs as Steve pointed out, 2 services per year (6 month or 7.5k whichever is first) one will be fairly cheap (ie 90-100 quid) the other could be costly (ie 400+ quid).
You will only be able to run your car on super unleaded fuel (octane booster is also advisable at 3 quid per bottle per tank of fuel) and you may want to do something with the brakes (as they suck).

Thanks for the advice guys. I am a little apprehensive about the running costs, but I`m sure most owners (if not all) would say it was worth it.

Cheers.
