Hello,

Bought my first Scooby almost a year ago, an Impreza MY02 2.0 GX. Really pleased with it, but, and it's a big but, I've fell in love with the RB5 model. I've seen a few for sale through various Subaru main dealers so a part exchange could be on the cards. All I need is a bit more convincing from fellow RB5 owners as to how good they are, etc. Can you only get them on a T'99 plate ? and what is the going rate for a mint condition model ? just so I don't get ripped off. Thanks in advance.

There's a nice T plater for sale at my local dealership for £14,995 but I don't know if that's the going rate or not!

DaveJones,

Is that the one at the Romford branch ? If so it looks mint. Might have a run over depending on response from thread. There is one advertised more locally (Leeds) but no photos on Subaru website yet.

most are T, some are on V but all are same spec. There are 2 versions - standard or WR spec, which has PPP fitted and Prodrive rear wing.
I changed from MY99 UK to RB5WR and havent regretted it one little bit. There are some ridiculously cheap ones in the for sale section, but you will obviously struggle with px this way. I paid £17k for mine 6 months ago. This was from a main dealer. IMO you should expect to pay approx £14k for standard spec or £16k for WR spec from a main dealer with px for a low mileage, full history car in top condition. You can obviously do better much privately.
Buy one. You wont regret it. Take a look in the members gallery section under "RB5 corner" if you need more convincing.

Thumbs up

The RB5 is a very nice edition, better if you get it with the PPP and WR stuff, IMHO.

Thanks for the replys guys. Viewed the RB5 corner as well, very imprezif. I'm off to Leeds tomorrow to view one at main dealer. Think I'll set off early so I can get back for the United v Arsenal game, 2-0 to Man U, COME ON YOU REDS.
