Guys and Gals,
My STi7UK has just had it's 10k service and I got talking to a salesman - as you do! He offered me a deal of around £4k to trade up to a new STi8UK.
The question is shall I do it? Will the '8' depreciate slower than the '7'? Shall I just put a PPP on the '7' and enjoy it?
.....Time to ask the audience!

4k to change doesn't sound like a bad deal...
But what about when the 9 comes along?
If you're happy with the 7, sense would say to stick with it. Although, despite the protestations, I can see the bugeye not being terribly popular on the second hand market (sorry chaps)

£4k to change, I'd say do it. From some of the deals people have been getting on here yours is a winner.
Mind you the last time I did a deal like that they changed for £2k

Do you feel the need to keep up with the Jones's? You bought an STi7 hopefully because you liked it and now want to spend £4k for some new headlights! Keep the 7 and PPP it, don't be a sheep! All those that bought a 7 and are now panic selling it to fund an 8 make me laugh!

Funny how an 2.0 STI PPP is 300bhp and a 2.5 STI is errr 300bhp as well . US emissions seems to be the cuase for the 2.5 litre. Wait for the 3.0 litre twin turbo

Enjoy your car with PPP for another 3 years. Sell it, order a new MY06 STI and be the first to enjoy the new Impreza. There will still be people wanting your motor and a lot of people not yet aware of the new model coming, so you can take the bus for a few months, waiting for the new wonder. And, depreciation would not be near the rate it is at for the moment.
