I have £22,500 to spend what should I buy? Car will be a company car so will have to be practical and comfortable...Love the looks of P1 and Evos, Focus looks good, BMW would be the sensible choice, any past owners of any care to give any help??
My heart says EVO 6 Makinen in Icelle Blue with 18" or P1 with the same...

Depends what you want the car for. If its purely for a company car and you do a lot of motorway mileage then its gotta be the beemer for practicality. If you dont give a rats **** about practicality then Id go for Evo 6 or P1. Evo 7 is fugly.

There's a very nice, perfectly maintained (by Ralliart UK) Evo 6 TME in blue for sale on the MLR. Guy I know, "dazmakinen". Do a search there. I think he want 23k though. But surely worth it. He spent more time polishing it than driving it

A P1 WR is simply a P1 with all the options ie Brake upgrade, Recaro seats, High intensity driving lamps and backbox, although I this it's unlikely you'd pick up a good one for that money.
A P1 with brake upgrade would be within your budget, and would certainly be my choice, even though mine's going at the weekend.

Evo 7 or 8
Considering its a complany car, its slightly more proffesional looking. It doesn't always pay too turn up in a car that looks too agressive. Suppose that depends on what kinda buisness your in though.

My tuppence:-
I would buy of the above - Sti8.
Brand spanking new you'd probably get it for that price, and with all the latest kit.
The P1 looks dated now IMHO.
BMW = rear wheel drive in a country where it rains constantly no thanks - might be okay wher you live, but it would be a used one.
Focus RS, it's a ford FFS, say no more, Cosworth Focus maybe but how when and much money?
Evo 6/7 too expensive and too often on the servicing for me, plus the tanks too small for everyday use.
Edited because I realised you live in the USA.

The obvious choice would be the EVO but dont believe the hype go and drive one for yourself. I did and personally I couldnt get on with it. The interior doesnt feel like a 30K car (when it was new). The sound it makes it nothing special. Styling a bit OTT for my liking but sure they go well enough but you could buy a westfield if you are simply after performance.
Performance wise it actually felt a touch slower than my RA. The fuel tanks are slightly smaller and according to how you drive can be anything from 140 to 220 miles between fill ups.
I really dont know what my money would go on. Maybe a second hand 911 or TVR for the weekends and keep my runabout for running about in.
the 4,500 intervals wouldnt bother me but you would a need a MUTT 2 to do the AYC chnaging yourself

You said the car must be comfortable....that rules the evo 6 out then. I owned one for 2 years, and whilst it's a blast to drive (the most exciting car I've ever driven) it's certainly not a comfortable car (it always feels "on edge"), and after a long journey driving the car hard, I always got out at the other end ready to collapse.

If it's affected my selling of photocopiers, i've not noticed
I would even venture as far as to say, it has helped me to sell. Generally people are interested in the car and want to know about it. The car I drive has got absolutley no affect on how i do my job in front of the customer. If they want to judge me before i get to demonstrate my professionalism, that's not my problem.
That said, i don't scream into thier car parks, engine raging, dump valve blazing, exhaust banging You can drive 'em gently you know
Get the P1
