Car veers slightly to the left.

The repair on it's own shouldn't affect the car. I'd put money on the wheel being out of balance or incorrect tyre pressure.
Unless you've whacked the wheel over a big pothole or decided to mount the pavement, then tracking/geometry should be fine.
I'd check the tyre pressures on both fronts are the same, then get the balance of the fronts re-checked. First try the repaired one, then try the other front. Take it back to the garage who repaired the tire first, then it might be worth taking it to another garage if it still doesn't cure the problem.
Over the past 3.5yrs, I've had 6 repairs on various tyres and never had a problem other than dodgy tyre pressures or bad wheel balancing.

Nah, don't worry about the repair.
As long as it's not the sidewall, the tyre will be fine. Mine were all nails or screws in the tread of the tyre. My original Pirelli's were repaired about 3 times and I did 20K on them.
The garage would have told you if it was unrepairable anyway.

Barge,
What do you think will happen with a repaired tyre? They will only repair punctures from nails/screws; we're not talking gashes or rips in the tyre or damage to the sidewall.
The worst that can happen is the little rubber plug pops out (about 10,000,000,000,000,000,000 to 1) and you get a slow puncture In fact, I'd probably bet money on that scenario being impossible.
When you get some punctures, just send me your old tyres

I have the same thing was worse b4 i had the full geometry dun & the wheels were pointing in the wrong direction which didnt help tyre wear I suspect mine maybe slightly due 2 fact that inside of front right is a bit worn on inside so effectively a slight cone rather than cylinder & thus will ride 2 the left (same principle as y u go round in a circle when u lean a bike over yet the wheel is still pointing 4wards) anyway that's just a guess but u may also wana bear in mine that camber of road will mean a perfectly set up boyo will still vere left slightly although if it does it when yer driving on wrong side of road then unlikely Dont try driving rong way on motorway just 2 check thou lol

I had a repair done last year and the following week I awoke to one flat tyre ! Decided there and then to replace with a new one. Got the new tyre put on and asked fitter to save old tyre for me. When I examined it the patch on the inside had peeled away because the fitter that did it hadn't put enough adhesive on Last time I get a repair done. As the old saying goes "once bitten twice shy"

Yorkie,
The moral of the story is go to a better tyre fitter
And all that happened was the tyre went flat again. You then just ask for a refund of your £7 (or whatever it costs to repair) and your no worse off.
Steve, don't let'em put the frighteners on you

I've got a repaired tyre on right now, no probs at all. Better than having it slowly deflating all the time as it was doing.
If its done properly and is not a sidewall it should be perfect.
More than perfect in my case, National Tyre did it for free and it wasn't one of theirs - I have my contacts you know
All cars pull to the left more than the right, road camber.

I have had the tracking done and it was out I have also drove to a petrol station with one of those electronic presure things and checked the presures. One tyre was a bit out.
It seems ok, but haven't had a chance to drive it properly yet
Can say that it was definately not road camber, as I tested it in several different situations.
The score now is 3 for puncture repairs 2 against
Best wishes

I have had my tyres repaired aswell. All for and never had any problems (not got a scoob yet though) ... for some people its just not possible to go out and buy new tyres when you have a puncture. In the space of one week i had 3 punctures... people must have been throwing nails in the way of my car...
