Just got charged £2000 plus around £350 VAT (couldn't get anything to tie up with EXACTLY 17.5% VAT rate) for the PPP for an MY03 STi by CD Bramall in Cheltenhsm. After realising I'd been charged VAT on this I checked the price on the Subaru website this evening. The price is advertised at £1995, presumably including VAT as there is no mention of any additions to any of the prices on the website. Anyone know whether the £1995 figure is correct or if the £2000 + 17.5% i've been charged is on the level.

AFAIK the PPP price is £2k INC VAT. That's what I've been quoted.

I did not know that the PPP has been released for the STi8 yet !!

I have a STi8 on order for delivery on 1st march and not a penny has changed hands yet, and i have requested the PPP kit as soon as it is released
does your dealer have the PPP kit.

When I bought PPP for my UK300 I was charged £1600 plus vat. Told the receptionist I think you are mistaken but she insisted that she was correct and charged me plus vat £1880. I then went to see the sales manager who confirmed I was correct and gave me an immediate refund. Go and complain.

I assumed that the website prices were inc. VAT because the Momo gearknob is listed at £60 compared with Halfords £50 But when I bought the cargo net I was charged £21.23+VAT

Can Subaru UK please confirm whether the website shows inclusive or exclusive VAT prices.

The PPP kit is the same for the 8 as it is for the 7 (so I've been told) Therefore it should be available at the same time as you pick up your new beastie.

Just checked with my dealer, and the price IS inc VAT, so you've deffinately been done.

I'd get onto them ASAP. You might even be able to negotiate a discount as compensation.

I was told on Saturday that the PPP kits were coming through slowly but there was no update on my sales record to show when it would arrive for my car. Seems it may have to go back at a later date!!

Unhappy

Im due to have PPP fitted to my STI7 on wednesday and have been quoted £2165 including vat and fitting. I mentioned that the subaru website states £1995 inc vat but was told this was a mistake and didn't take into account fitting of additonal gaskets. Not sure if i'm being ovechared or not.

I've just ordered an STi 8 with the PPP and was charged £1995 inc. VAT. on top of the list price of the car.

WR Sport Prices for Sti8

I'd say it definately includes VAT and is available for Sti8 according to Subaru Uk's website.

I think the only delay will be ECU's - Same old problem

Sent the wife in to CD Bramall today to recoup the overcharged VAT from the sales guy. After she'd finally managed to make him understand what the problem was, and he'd made a phonecall to confirm the inclusion of VAT in the £1995 price tag, she got the bottom line price altered accordingly.....but without any apology from the dealer.

I've asked them to fit the PPP (the first one they will have done, apparently) to the car straight away, but I'm now considering running the car in first in standard form and getting used to it with the "mere" 261bhp so that I can appreciate the performance hike more.
