I am looking to pop my scooby cherry and finally get my **** round to buying a scooby. I am looking for a car that will do me for all types of road use and also track days... with soo many variations out there I am looking for some guidance as to the best car to spend my money on, I dont want to spend more than 10K if I can help it because I dont want to to cry too much when I forget Im not in my 7 and and try something silly. If any one can help me that would be great... And what, if any are the pitfalls of having a Jap import?

for 10k, I would go for a JAP import, reasons.

1. you would get it serviced at a specialist so cheaper than main dealers.

2. more power.

3. more toys.

4. parts are not a problem (so im informed).

5. for 10k you wouldnt get much of a warranty on a uk car anyway.

6. a bit different on the road than the euro cars

for track use I would take a look at a type r /ra. rememeber its a buyers market, and there are lots of good cars going for crazy money.

go to one of the specialist car importers lichfields ect and have a look, rememeber they may not be the best value for money but may give you some type of warranty.

I personally couldnt afford to insure a JDM car but would love to have one.
