Mike, not sure if you get stuff through before or not, give Pete a call on 01268 590085 to confirm it all.

Driver briefing is usually between 8:15 and 8:45 depending on if the sign in has completed with all the late comers track action usually starts at about 9, also depends on the driver briefing and sign on finishing on time.

See ya there

Hi Mike et al

Registration will begin at 8am in the control tower and the drivers briefing will be 8.20 in the pit lane below the tower.

I won't be sending out any info.

Donington Park is off J23a on the M1.

SUL is available at the circuit, or at East Midlands Airport, 2 miles away.

Pete

Just been ringing around about crash helmets.

One of the local bike shops advised me to check if the rules require a specific construction - Fibre(glass) or Poly(carbon).

Does a helmet have to be nomex lined?

Is Type A approval sufficent?

Anyone recommendations? The guy said prices start at £60 and go up.

Cheers,

Chris (Not Wanting to waste his cash!).

there isn't any spec for a track day for helmets.

Type A is a perfect helmet spec, this is the min spec for motorsport comp in the UK.

£60 sounds about right for a low cost type A helmet.

I always go for a full face as it gives more protection and is less likely to come off your head in a big crash.

I once saw a guy have his jaw smashed on a rally when wearing an open face helmet, that was enough of a warning for me!
