Guys et Gals,

I'm looking at Foresters to pull my Rally Car round and have been a bit confused at the S/TB JDM spec if I go the import route.

Some importers I have spoken to insist they are same as the UK, i.e. 170'ish brake and some say they are all 240 brake.

Can someone point out the correct spec or did they sell both types? I've tried the Jap websites and can't understand a thing!!

Cheers,

Stuart

go to www.4ester.net for lots of forester info. imports are 240/250bhp STA/STB/TTB's. Someone is selling one on here, do a search for forester and forrester and you'll find it. Butty has one too.

The JDM turbo Foresters (S/tb & T/tb) have 250ps & 31.2kgm of torque for MY98. From MY99 onwards it had 240ps.
AFAIK, S/tb is available in both auto & manual versions, & T/tb is the more 'luxurious' version out of the 2 models. Later T/tb can be had with self-levelling suspension.

Can't add much more than Clarence. The difference between the TTB and STB looks large on paper but all the JDM Foresters I have seen always have non std specs so there isn't always a big difference.
The JDM is definately at least 240 bhp and runs 12 psi whilst the UK one has 7 psi boost.

Insurance wise, I am paying £530 with Liverpool & Victoria even with exhaust, big brakes and wheel mods.

PS while talking about Foresters, I am selling the mid section off mine.
It has a resonator rather than CAT so should release some flow.
It will also fit an Impreza.
If only my garage had looked at it rather than assumed it had a CAT I wouldn't have bought a straight through section (Grrr).
£20 plus P & P. (also put in FOR SALE if you look).
