Scoobies and black ice???
#1
Been reading about Rich`s accident with great interest, as I have also had a recent encouter with the dreaded "Black Ice" two 360`s and into a sign post dented wing and dented ego, it was just like it is on Gran Tourismo, it all happens so fast....so why is it that scoobies seem so crap on ice, or is it just the way we drive them????
sorry to hear about your accident Rich, you where very lucky, hope all goes well with the insurance settlement

Fast powerful car and huge levels of grip in most conditions mean when there is little or no grip you are more vunerable. Called the invincibility syndrome .
I slid my RA 90 degress 2 years ago on the works car park at 5 mph, luckly nothing about a big car park. I really thought it wasnt that icey and actually had a flat tyre until I got out the car and fell over .

Its simple, the theory is that if you dont have direct contact with the surface then you dont have grip, any car/person/bike etc suffer exactly the same in these conditions so you have to be more aware.
Unfortunately not alot except a miracle can save you when this happens
