import vs UK ?

hi guys
considering buying a UK Spec import STi MY03 - comments form anybody who has imported a UK spec scoob (or bought form dealer) as to servicing issues, warratny problems etc would be appreciated.
the car would be a daily driver, and as such I would need to get it fixed/serviced etc 'pretty quick' and was wondering if any one has had bad (or good!) experiences with imports with their Subaru dealers?
