Plastic bags over shock absorbers ?

Collected my new Sti from Gibson's yesterday. David Gibson very affable, but I get the impression his staff are sloppy.
Tools had been left in the boot and engine bay- lucky I heard the rattle before major damage caused!
The alarm sensor has not been put on straight.
I looked inside the wheel arches today and the shocks are covered by plastic surronds bags held on with elastic bands ! presumably to keep them clean prior to a PDI.---If PDI ever happened that is.
On a brighter note visited Vale at Yeovil today-cheers Ben.
I hope that ED can reassure me re Warranty status
