Sti Type UK PPP
Finally picked mine up last Friday. I have now had a few days to play. I am thoroughly impressed. The engine now pulls directly from 2K and will rev happily to my 6.5K when the rev buzzer sounds. Over 4K where in the standard set-up the engine pulls hard it now pulls massively.
If anything the handling seems to have improved but I suspect this is really down to the power kicking in earlier around the corners cutting out the low power understeer which was previously very obvious if the car wasn't driven with lots of gear changing.
This is the feel I had really expected from the car and as others have said it is what it should have been to start with.
Otherwise the exhaust note is definitely louder - as loud as I would like any way.
Just finishing off my first tank full - will be interested to see if the mpg is improved or otherwise!

Very Very happy with mine

. Echo the point about cornering better: I'd rather be putting the torque in in 4th than in 3rd, for example. Perhaps one of our Gurus might have a go at this??
Ditto overtaking - I find that i'm much bolder than I was in the unmodded car; but the 'squirming' on 17"/RE040s can be a bit more noticeable.
First 150 Miles was awful fuel consumption - little over 4 miles per litre against a previous expectation of 5, or a fraction under. However, the second tank seems to be lasting a whole heap better, and I'm expecting 5 this time. I presume the ECU has to 'learn' your actual car??? Gurus again???
Grinning from ear to ear
