John (Felstead) ,
It's not an STI-VI RA mate....
Its a WRX RA V-Limited.....
So it's not a V6

Actually its known as a version 6 as its an MY00 .
BTW I was offered 17K on a part-ex on mine a month or so back against an EVO7 but decided the EVO was too slow.

the seller seems to think its a V6!
I paid more than £12K but less than the normal going rate, but i had to get the gearbox rebuilt and sort some minor bodywork issues so knocked £1500 off for that efectively. So all in i paid about £14.5K back in april. I have spent a few quid since replacing the brakes with AP's, Leda Coilovers, Special STi anti-surge fuel pump assembly, spare wheels etc. I have also replaced a wheel bearing and the clutch plate whilst the box was out. I have done 13K miles in it so far including 4 trips to the ring.
So far i am very impressed with my STi5 TypeRA V-Ltd.

Dave is yours the V-limited or the WRC-limited, as mine is an MY00 WRC-Limited Type RA. I also seen to remember being told there were very few in the country and very rare.

IIRC, if its a WRX V-limited it won't have the red manifold that the STi V-limited's have.
Also, (IIRC again ) If its a V-Limited it will have a roof vent, WRX or STi
Now someone tell me I'm talking b0ll0cks again

Juan maybe you should drive an RA before writing them off .
EVO7 is to heavy and lardy (my RA was SVA at 1240kgs) and I didnt want to spend an extra 10K to swap and then have to spend '000s on top and destroy the warranty to make it go quicker than my current car
Anyway enough of that . John I was wrong and you were right :

As usual...mention an RA and get a debate!
As John says i beleive it's a version 6 (last of the classic shapes). I base this on it being an MY00 and Graham Goodes kind appraisal after he drove and inspected it when i first bought it.
No it's not an STi (i beleive it weighs even less...but i'd have to check) so it's probably worth slightly less than your's Chrisp.
Yes its a Ltd edition (0454/1000) with the little badge that reads - Subaru WRC Limited Edition at the bottom.
Front seats are light blue with the yellow embroidered Subaru logo.
No it doesn't have a roof vent or the diff control, but it does have air con, leccy windows,ABS and STi Rays wheels.
It was one one of a batch of 10 sold by Ian Shipton cars near Burton on Trent. I know of one other on this board from the same batch (Adam B).
Mega..I don't think 12k is correct (that was for a version 4 wasn't it)
So c'mon guys, would i get £15.5K ? I'm in two minds really..could do with the cash for now coz of the house move, but might hang on and part chop for the MY03 (especially if i can get hold of another RA!).
What say you?
Dave.

Dave mine was one of the batch from Shiptons as well although I got it through another dealer who sold it on his behalf. Mine isnt an STI just has an STI badge to cover the black plastic. Exactly same spec as Adam B's when it was new. Mine was RR recently and has 195bhp at the wheels (more than a decatted P1 and mine still has the DP cat ). 15.5K is about the right price, I got offered 17K as the guy also wanted all the bits, exhaust, lights, guages, and private plate, oh and it only done 8000miles .

Thanks for your input Chrisp, they really are worth hanging onto aren't they. Its nice to hear of another one of the batch.
What does that figure equate to as an output from the engine then?
Mega, I'm gonna talk with the missus (we both love this car) and if we decide to sell I'll get the piccies up pretty soon and let you know OK?
Thanks for the interest and input Guys, £15.5K Mmmmmm.......!

Impending house move may force the sale of this rare (i beleive there are only 10 in the country) beast.
Standard apart from filter and backbox (oh, and TSL fast road geometry)and it's done 23,000 with full history etc. etc.
What do you guys reckon it would fetch these days?
Edited to say it's a Ver 6.
Dave.

Forget the badge on the ashtray I hated that fact it was black pla stic in a sea of blue plastic so I purchaed a nice carbon effect STI sticker .
Its actually an MY00 WRX Type RA, I also have a feeling the roof vent was a deletable option ie. You could opt not to have it.
